I taught myself to knit and crochet in 2002 while pregnant with my first child, and I haven't stopped since! I've made just about everything you can imagine, but my favorites are always cozy apparel items - fingerless mitts, hats, scarves, shawls, and socks. More recently I taught myself to weave on a table top rigid heddle loom, and I'm having great fun combining colors and textures to create unique and beautiful scarves and cowls for all seasons. I've also started to use my leftover yarn to make wall hangings and other art pieces.
When people ask what I make, I find it easiest to just say that I'm a fiber artist!
